We are excited to announce OSP Post Award hiring updates and changes to the Award Management team structure! 

In case you missed it, OSP is working with Huron to upgrade ResearchUVA (RUVA) to version 10.5. See below for the implementation timeline, running from now to the beginning of August. 

Of the roughly 140 outgoing subaward records in Pre-Submission status, 51 have not been edited or updated since 2023. Beginning May 1, 2025, records from 2023 and earlier will be discarded.

Purchase orders (PO) related to grants require special treatment at year-end and must be rolled forward to the new fiscal year with a budget date that falls within the Period of Performance of the grant. 

The next leader of OSP has been named! Recently in an email to the OSP team, Lori McMahon, Vice President for Research announced the person selected to come on board when Stewart Craig, Executive Director of Sponsored Programs, steps down this summer. 

The process to update ResearchUVA to version 10.5 is underway, which will introduce new features and bug fixes for the Grants, Agreements, and COI modules. The OVPR Training team provided an overview at the most recent OSP Spotlight meeting. Continue reading for a preview of what's to come.

Since the January inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, sponsoring agencies within the federal government have implemented changes, causing confusion and uncertainty about the future of research funding in higher education. 

OSP Post Award has created a Cost Share Certification Form for PIs to document and certify cost share, in-kind, and third party match.
