June 30 brings the close of the 2025 fiscal year, and with it the application of UVA's new federally negotiated rate agreement, which was finalized earlier this year. Next week, the OVPR Info Team will implement the rates within ResearchUVA (RUVA). 

Specifically, they will implement the rates listed below. You will see these changes reflected when developing Funding Proposals in RUVA when seeking funding for awards with a start date after June 30, 2025. 

Rate Implementation

1. The Other Sponsored Activities (OSA) rate changes from 38% to 39%.
2. The new Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) rate will be 15%.
3. The new Department of Defense (DOD) rates for contracts that fall under DFARS will be 64.5% and 29% for On-Grounds and Off-Grounds Organized Research, respectively.
